PPIDE

The PPIDE board is an interface board designed to connect IDE devices such as hard drives and Compact Flash cards to a computer through the parallel expansion connector..

Features

  • Compatible with SBC V2, SBC-188 and Zeta computers.
  • Does not require an ECB backplane to operate.
  • Software support in ROMWBW and CP/M.

Current Version

The current version was designed by Ed Snider and incorporate layout changes for mounting within the base board footprint without blocking access to adjacent connectors.

Acknowledgements

Max Scane developed the original design and pcb board with software support provided by David Giles and Wayne Warthen.
