Hi All

So after the success of the first board, a second run has been requested. the board has had the couple small bugs from the original design (kicad silkscreen footprint error) fixed, and a couple other small rearrangements. Todd Goodman has generously offered to handle the distribution for the US/Canada people interested in the board. there will be some stock of the board kept between us for future sale and im sure i will have a limited amount of stock in New Zealand for Aus/EUR/Asian buyers.

if you would like a board please reply to this thread with the quantity you want. the board will likely be priced similarly to last time (keeping in mind the size of the board) $32+S+H

I would like one of the 18-slot backplane w/ active termination. As mentioned elsewhere, Anchor Electronics has the 100-pin 0.135" spacing card edge connector for US$3.95/each. FYI, and I found it odd as I didn't see any mention online, but when I called to order (wasn't able to complete the order online), they asked if I wanted the part with or without the mount hold flanges. I would assume by mounting flanges these are the small tab with hole at either end of the connector? ifso, the board will support either, a standard S100 female connector footprint was used.

Does anyone know the measurements of the backplane board? I'm guessing around 15.5" by 8.5", but I'm not confident in that guess. I'm working on a chassis for the system and need to make sure the backplane will fit with enough clearance.

What is the current status of this "second board run" ??
You could cross-post for any additional orders at S-100 computers ...

Has someone check the mounting points versus various chassis types (IMSAT, Altair, Northstar Horizon, etc) ?

Apologies that the 2nd run has taken some time to get together ( i have been super busy this year). I would like to produce an up to date list of everyone who want in on this run of boards, if you would like a V2 board could you please reply to this thread only i will link this thread on the S100computers google group page but i would like to avoid confusion between Todd and I w.r.t to keeping the list up-to-date and only take the names on this list on this forum ,so if you are not a member please become one Smile

I am in for 1 board (USA) but can do more if needed to hit the minimum for a run. There is LOTS of activity this year over at the s100computers group. John has released several new boards and re-released just about everything in his "catalog". In addition, There are new boards from Josh Bensadon and the Mem8 plus. If you don't get the minimum count do do a run in this forum, PLEASE repost over there before giving up.

Hi Ant - could you put me on the new list for 2 backplanes please. I am in Australia. Considering the interest level and at $32 per board you a going to need quite a few pennies to pay the PCB manufacturer, so I'm quite prepared to pay for the boards up front and then make a second payment for shipping. Boards are $32US ea. + Shipping. Shipping is a little expensive due to the size of the board (lucky for most a backplane is a one-time event), For one board in the US it will be $12.40, two will be $16.65,
three will be $20.05. so please do the math Razz
