Please note:  I recall this order needed an additional 8 pin socket (machine pin) and changed the DIN 41612 connector to the 96 pin variety.

The machine pin sockets are great, but are costly for small builds. I chose standard dual-wipe gold-flashed low-profile DIP sockets for my build. I ordered Assmann sockets from Digi-Key; I've used this brand on previous projects with no issue and it saves a few dollars in the process (they're a little bit less than half the price -- $0.72 versus $1.29 for a 16-pin socket. The 40-pin machine sockets are about $5 each.).
